BOW & ARROW

Adult Comedy | 10 Characters (with doubling) | 2 Acts | Approx. 2hrs 15mins

The adult comedy that sells out. 96% audience satisfaction. Your next hit show.

The Story

Forget everything you think you know about Sherwood Forest.

This isn't Robin Hood. There's no noble hero in green tights riding in to save the day. Instead, meet Bow and Arrow — two loveable, chaotic outlaws who sleep until midday, get stoned, watch "medieval porn" and stumble headfirst into an epic adventure they are spectacularly ill-equipped for.

Set in a raucous, rude and wildly funny reimagining of 14th century Sherwood, Bow & Arrow is an adults-only comedy that throws every convention of the legend straight out the castle window.

Bow and Arrow are living their best worst lives — behind on their rent, classified as outlaws, and answering to the terrifying Mistress 'The Sheriff' Cage, who rules Sherwood with a literal iron whip and a state-of-the-art dungeon beneath her castle. When the Sheriff tasks them with investigating a mysterious red light deep in Sherwood Forest, everything unravels fast. Arrow vanishes without a trace, snatched by dark figures into the unknown. Bow — armed with a library book she only read to page four — must form a band of unlikely heroes to find him before it's too late.

What follows is a wild ride through Sherwood's seediest corners, darkest forests and most outrageous characters — all building to a finale nobody sees coming.

The Characters

Character Description

Bow Scar

Sharp, fearless, hilarious and completely unfiltered. One of the most entertaining female leads in adult comedy theatre.

Arrow Hunter

Big-hearted, loyal, chaotic best friend. Brave in theory, terrified in practice, utterly devoted to Bow.

Friar Tuck

Nothing like the monk you remember. Flamboyantly promiscuous, surprisingly wise, always mid-encounter with someone called Gilbert or Harold.

Maxwell 'Glorious' Knight

Arrives to his own entrance music. Convinced he's the alpha male of Sherwood. Magnificently humiliated.
Gob Half man, half goblin. Maxwell's hapless assistant and one of the funniest scene-stealers in the script.

Miss Thorn

The Sheriff's dominatrix PA. Highly qualified, deeply terrifying, in enormous demand.

Princess Tammi

Royal chaos and unexpected heart. Brings genuine emotion to the second act.
Mistress 'The Sheriff' Cage Controlling, ruthless, darkly funny — and hiding a secret that will change everything.

Plus doubling roles: Nuns, Villagers, Guards

Why Produce Bow & Arrow?

Cast Size Is a Producer's Dream
Ten characters with flexible doubling. No enormous ensemble to manage, no budget-busting cast list. Whether you're a 10-person amateur group or a professional company with a rotating pool, this fits.

Staging Demands Are Minimal
This show lives or dies on performance, not spectacle. A simple set, basic props, and great actors are all you need. Low production costs, high returns.

The Script Does the Heavy Lifting
Packed with audience-pleasing set pieces, sharp running gags, and moments of genuine warmth buried beneath the filth. Your cast will love performing it. Your audience will quote it in the bar afterwards.

It Has Heart
Beneath all the chaos and outrageous set pieces, there's a genuinely moving story about friendship, found family and belonging. Bow and Arrow's bond is real. Audiences don't just laugh — they get invested. And invested audiences come back, bring friends, and tell everyone they know.

Proven Track Record
This play has sold out runs. It works in 400-seat theatres and pub or hotel function rooms. The opening WWE theme and closing Red Light Spells Danger bookend two acts of pure, unapologetic, brilliantly crafted adult comedy.
